Why I'm Trekking Through Cambodia—and How You Can Help

100KM Through the Cambodian Jungle for Shelter

This October 2025, I’ll be taking things a step further (literally) by participating in the Cambodia Challenge for Shelter. Alongside over 100 Royal LePage colleagues from across Canada, I’ll be trekking over 100KM through Cambodia’s dense jungle, enduring intense heat and humidity, sleeping in small tents, and going completely off-grid—all to raise critical funds for shelters across Canada.

While the journey will be incredibly rewarding, it won’t be easy. I’ll be:
✅ Trekking for 5 days through rugged terrain
✅ Facing extreme heat,  humidity and poisonous critters
✅ Sleeping in tents & using jungle bathroom facilities
✅ Unplugging from technology & comforts of home

But every kilometer I walk and every challenge I face will be nothing compared to what women and children fleeing domestic violence endure.

How Your Donation Helps

To take part in this trek, I’ve committed to raising at least $15,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, with:

  • 80% of funds going directly to The West Island Women’s Shelter, helping families in our community escape violence and rebuild their lives.

  • 20% funding national education programs, teaching youth about healthy intimate relationships, recognizing early signs of abuse, and breaking the cycle of violence—life-saving education that prevents future harm.

  • 100% of donations going to the cause, because Royal LePage covers all admin costs so that every dollar goes where it’s needed most.

It’s not just about the km’s or the adventure—it’s about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families who need it most here in the West Island.

As someone who helps families find homes every day, the cause hits close to home—literally. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, healthy place to live. This journey is about stepping outside my comfort zone so others can find theirs.

How You Can Support the Trek

I’m inviting our amazing community of clients, friends, and partners to be part of this mission. Here’s how:

This isn’t just a solo journey—it’s a team effort. And I’m grateful to have such an incredible network behind me.

Let’s do something extraordinary together.

Warmly,
